Student illness must be reported to the school on the first day between 8.00 and 9.00 am by telephone (035-6729934) or e-mail (firstname.lastname@example.org). Upon their return to school the student must hand in a letter signed by the parent and stating the dates of the student’s absence due to illness. The student must hand in the letter to the Student Services Manager before the start of their lessons.
If a student falls ill during the school day, he or she must report to the student services desk for a green card. This card must be completed and signed by the parent, and handed in by the student to the student services manager upon their return to school. The student services manager will inform the parents of their child’s illness by telephone.
In the event family circumstances require a special leave for a student, the parent must request this in writing and well in advance by sending a letter to the Assistant Principal of the school. Parents must bear in mind that the Dutch education authorities only allow schools to grant permission for requests of this nature under set conditions.
